Wow, that was one hell of a tennis match. It got to the point where I almost didn't care who won. Fantastic job by Andy, I didn't expect him to put up as much of a fight. 15 Grand Slam titles, wow! Very, proud of Roger Those commercials with congrats sure were fast. |

Posting about mindless thoughts/ideas. I still haven't figured out if I want a Macbook or laptop as my b-day gift. My current laptop functions well, but I don't think I can take waiting at least 20 minutes or more before I can use it. Summer school is not half bad. I am actually learning some things and having fun. Tomorrow I have a field trip at the Museum of Natural History. This picture is the real reason why I am posting. The Quarter Mile[Two visitors stand, looking like something out of a Chris Van Allsburg book, in the new Ledge observation deck, which juts out of the 103rd story of Chicago's Sears Tower. That's 1,353 feet up.http://gawker.com/ Just imagine!!! 103 floors up!!!! I could not do this. I think I would have to be liquored up and beyond wasted, before even thinking about putting my big toe into this. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is a brilliant song. But, Eric Clapton makes that song the classic that it is..imo. However, I am about to contradict myself, because I did recently hear the acoustic version with George Harrison and some strings and it was gorgeous. |

My friend just called to console me. In 2000 or was it 2001, we saw Michael Jackson together at Madison Square Garden. When I was a little girl, he was my first crush. I think every black little girl back in the day fell in love with him. Off the Wall was the first album I bought on my own, with money saved from my allowance. Then came Thriller. I remember running to my classmate's house to watch Thriller. We squeed and sighed. So many memories from my childhood. I guess my childhood is now officially over. This is surreal. |

I really don't have much to say lately because I am so damn tired & busy. 4 more days, well really 3 1/2 until the school year officially ends. I will have a little bit more energy, but I can't celebrate because I am taking two summer school classes. WTF was Paul McCartney on and thinking when he wrote Rocky Raccoon? ROTFLMAO Well, actually I do know what he was on, but still... Anyway, the reason why I am making an entry tonight, is this picture of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, from Alice in Wonderland A couple more things, now that Jon and Kate are getting a divorce can they go the fuck away? Perez Hilton...*snickers* For more pictures of the characters from Alice in Wonderland, go here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/ Helena Bohnam Carter looks unbelievable. |

Here's a suggestion for everyone, do NOT try to watch Righteous Kill with Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro. It is absolutely horrible!!!! The dialogue, the way it was filmed, the direction...etc. It took 13 minutes of the film being on before I gave up on it. HORRIBLE!!! Most underrated Beatles song: Baby You're a Rich Man. OMG...I love this song!!! John and Paul are just perfect on this song. I begin Summer School tomorrow. Happy, happy, joy, joy. *sarcasm* 9am-4pm, 6 consecutive Sunday classes. Disappointment is purchasing a slice of Red Velvet cake, eagerly awaiting to eat it, tasting the first bite and then realizing that is is gross!! |

Since I have over the past month only been listening to The Beatles on my I-Pod, I can firmly say that my favorite album by them is Revolver. Favorite John song: A tie between-I'm Only Sleeping and Norwegian Wood. Favorite Paul song: Eleanor Rigby I want to thank Only 17 more days left until there is no more students. As every June brings, the students are getting on our nerves and we are getting on their nerves. Plus, everyone is grumpy and you see more eye rolling from teachers to fellow teachers this time of year. It's petty shit. I won't even mention the outrageous H1N1 aka Swine Flu rumors that have been flying around my school building. Some people are beyond paranoid. It's fucking annoying. Yesterday, my mom had surgery. It was a minor procedure, she had polyps removed. She's fine and doing her own thing like she normally does, but I tell you for a few hours yesterday when my mom was a bit out of it after surgery it scared the hell out of me. I wanted to go into a corner and just wail. I didn't but I sure wanted to. It's just really hard to watch a parent in a weak state, very hard. I tried watching the MTV Movie Awards and I just could not sit through it. If you don't give two shits about Twilight or The Hills then it was not a show to watch, so I didn't . I wanted to see Kings of Leon, but I couldn't sit through the show. The show reminded me that I am getting old. LOL I keep forgetting to watch Glee. All my friends have been raving about it, so I need to watch it to see what it's about. I watched the NBC special last night of Behind the Scenes of the Obama Administration and squeed the whole time. It was just so much fun to watch. I can't wait for the rest of it tonight. I want this!!! I must be out of my mind considering that I suck at Rock Band. LOL But, it's THE BEATLES!!!! http://www.thebeatlesrockband.com/ |

I haven't been so entertained or enthralled by a movie in such a long time as I was by Star Trek. It made me laugh. It made me shed a few tears. It made my heart race and kept me on the edge of my seat. What a fantastic movie. I love the cast. There was not one weak performer. I don't know if I can pick a favorite character, but Scotty and McCoy...they had me at hello. Can I also say it was nice to see a strong female character in the film, like Uhura. Go see STAR TREK!!! I also geeked out over the fact that I got to see the Harry Potter trailer. LOL Justin is on SNL in about 40 minutes. I'm ready for him. He never fails to deliver. I just finished watching the White House Correspondence dinner on CSPAN, my President is funny. I loved how he burned Rush and Micheal Steele. One of my favorite lines from the President: "David Axelrod is here. You know, I tear up when I think back to the day when I called Ax, so many years ago and said, "You and I can do wonderful things together". And he said to me the same thing that partners all across America are saying to each other right now: 'Let's go to Iowa and make it official.'" Go see Star Trek!!! Yes, I really, really do love this movie. |

Did not see Wolverine this weekend, it was sold out all over the place. I may or may not see it in the theaters. I'm the type of person that if I don't see a movie as soon as it comes out, I end up seeing it on Netflix. My attention for it wains and I just wait for the next "hot" picture. Holy Crap, ONTD is having a positive Justin Timberlake post. Gasp!!!!!! Are they aware that this is going on? 95% of the celebrities I love are dragged through the mud on that site. Oddly enough, 95% of the celebrities that are loved on the site, I can't stand. Over the weekend I was reminded just how much I love Thai food. Southland is a damn good t.v. show. I just found out that there is a Claire/Slylar storyline happening on Heroes. Is this true?! WTF?! I recently bought a Rachael Ray cookbook. I don't like her, she's too perky for me, but the recipes in this book sure seem delicious. Is it bad for me to want to eat my second piece of egg custard pie? It's too sweet, but I LOVE the crust. Crazy question, but does anyone else out there have a name for their car? This weekend my friends asked me the name of my car and I replied, "Car." LOL This weather sucks! I am tired of waking up with red, puffy eyes and a clogged nose. |

Fellow New Yorkers, don't you wonder who is running the finance department of the MTA? They are ALWAYS broke. I turned to CNBC because Rahm Emmanuel is supposed to on, right now. But, who is on? Michelle Bachmann. Seriously? Seriously?! That woman is NUTS!!! I just missed Kris on AI. Why do I always miss the ones I like? Why is Jamie Foxx giving out advice on how to sing Jazz? Yes, yes, I know that he's had a successful singing career, but still...? My students at work are obsessed/paranoid over the Swine Flu. I saw 17 Again. I didn't want to, but I was outvoted by my friends. It wasn't half bad. But, I know I am getting old, because when Zac Efron first appears on screen all sweaty and shirtless, my thoughts consisted of, "Ewww...put your shirt back on." He's scrawny. LOL Why do I want to see Star Trek? I have never watched a complete episode of Star Trek in my life. But, I want ot see the movie. I finally saw Slumdog Millionaire. OMG...it was that good. But, I did not expect the storyline. There were some really depressing parts of the movie. ' Wolverine is coming out this Friday. Finally!!!! I finally get a chance to drool over Taylor as Gambit. I love his hair |

I am so freaking tired. I can barely put a sentence together, except for incoherent babble. Anyway, cute little antedote from reading a story to two five year old boys. This is when kids are still cute. Me: The title of the book is Marvin Feels Homesick The two boys at the same time: What's homesick? Me: Well, it's when you are away from home and you miss your mommy and daddy. Little boy #1: I get sick too, when at home. That's when I throw up in the tub. Little boy #2: Me too, but I throw up in the toilet. Me: Hiding behind a book, cracking the hell up. Here's some good news (maybe) There will be a CSI Movie!!!! CSI fans take heart: A feature-length movie is in the cards, and it's definitely going to involve Gil Grissom, according to William Petersen. "Yes, there will be a movie," Petersen told Britain's Radio Times. Although he is sure fans might be "a little trepidatious," Petersen promises the move to the big screen will not be done haphazardly. "Usually people leave it till a series has finished -they did that with The X-Files and Sex and the City," Petersen said. "But it's about finding the right story, there has got to be a real reason to do it." One of those real reasons? Grissom won't be around forever. "You don't just do it because you want to make money - you do it because there's a story that can't be told on TV and needs to be told from CSI's perspective and the audience wants it," Petersen said. "And we can't wait for CSI to end or Grissom will be about 90." Petersen bowed out of the hit CBS drama after eight years earlier this season, handing over the reins to Laurence Fishburne's Raymond Langston. He had previously said his character's open-ended departure preserved the chance of a film. Why I am bummed? No Warrick, he is dead. Plus, Sara anyone? YUCK |

A real update, I haven't had one of these in awhile. I hope everyone is doing well, because honestly, I just haven't had the time to really view and keep up with my Flist. So, I hope everyone is fine. 1. Acupuncture for the win!!! I have sprained ligaments in my ankle and I felt so much better after acupuncture. There are only so many cortizone shots a person can receive, ya know. 2. Spa Week!!! Go! Participate! I did it this week and oh how soft my skin is and how much better I feel overall. Go to this website and it shows what spas in your city are participating. http://www.spaweek.com/ 3. I saw the movie Wall-E and cried. It's brilliant. 4. Two hour season finale for Criminal Minds. I know, I just know that it will have something to do with either, Spencer or Morgan or both. Too many episodes this season that points to that. My poor babies. I love those two characters. 5. Broke up with my boyfriend, because he is going to move to Florida and oh, btw, wants me to move along with him. WTF?! Seriously, I didn't even know he was pondering this. Gotta love when people try to decide your future. 6. I am really, really, really happy I live in NYC. As much as I laughed at the teabaggers, some of those people scared the hell out of me. I like living here, bitching about the MTA and the clusterfuck of a government that makes up the NY government. |

I haven't posted on this thing in forever. In the next couple of days, I will have a real update. Now, yesterday the internet was on fire with what Amazon was trying to do, you know, basic censorship of GLBT books. Look, I know that Amazon.com is owned by a right-winger, so I was not exactly surprised by yesterdays move. But, still excuse the fuck out of me with the censorship bullshit. So I sent off an e-mail. This is the response I received: Hello, Thank you for contacting Amazon.com. This is an embarrassing and ham-fisted cataloging error for a company that prides itself on offering complete selection. It has been misreported that the issue was limited to Gay & Lesbian themed titles - in fact, it impacted 57,310 books in a number of broad categories such as Health, Mind & Body, Reproductive & Sexual Medicine, and Erotica. This problem impacted books not just in the United States but globally. It affected not just sales rank but also had the effect of removing the books from Amazon's main product search. Many books have now been fixed and we're in the process of fixing the remainder as quickly as possible, and we intend to implement new measures to make this kind of accident less likely to occur in the future. Thanks for contacting us. We hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Customer Service Department Amazon.com Whatthefuckever! Yup, I sure bought this excuse. My 1st grade students can come up with better excuses. Now today, someone came out and said he hacked the Amazon site and caused all of this. Yeah, not buying that one either. I swear, it's like living in two different societies. One wants to progress and improve and the other is scared of any type of change. |

I can't wait to see the movie Bruno. WTF was that Adam Lambert? I know Megan is sick, but ,she sucked last week too. So, HIV/AIDS is prevented by not wearing condoms?! OOOOkay Does anyone have Verizon Internet? I am thinking of getting rid of Cablevision's internet provider. It's getting too expensive. If Verizon is better, I will purchase it. I still haven't decided if I like Lady GaGa. As a Madonna fan from the very beginning, she does remind me of Madonna a lot. She's outrageous and blunt. She can sing better than Madonna. She is just as bitchy and ambitious as Madonna, too. Memo to N.C.I.S., it really looks as if you are going to try to put Tony and Ziva together. DON'T!!!! Whoops, forgot to mention my weekly comment about Paula Abdul, she's an idiot! |

Today during a meeting we were all discussing how Bernie Madoff went to jail. Most of us were talking about how happy we were that he went to jail. However, there was one person who actually felt sorry for him. Tonight is the showdown between Jim Cramer and Jon Stewart! I can't wait! Actually, I just hope I can stay awake to watch this showdown. LOL Prince is going to be on The Tonight Show for three nights in a row, from March 25-27 to promote his new album. He will also be on Jay Leno's last show. Again, I hope I can stay up to watch him. LOL John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston have reportedly broken up. How not really shocking. South Park last night was brilliant. Mickey Mouse beating the crap out of one of The Jonas Brothers, priceless. Criminal Minds was confusing as hell last night. I think I got what was going on. But, I didn't mind not understanding everything once Morgan and Reid shared a few scenes together. Gawd, those two are gorgeous creatures. |

Love, love, love the new U2 album. It's one of those albums that slowly takes a hold you and when it has you, doesn't let go. Favorite Tracks: 1. Breathe 2. Cedars of Lebanon 3. Stand Up Comedy 4. Unknown Caller Weirdest thing, the weakest track is Get on Your Boots. Go figure. Now the best part is to trying to obtain U2 tickets for their show in Giants Stadium in September. There's a rumor that Rhianna and Chris Brown are going to record a duet. Seriously, WTF?! I hope this is not true. Halle Berry's baby daddy is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! If she ever gets tired of him, she could send him my way. I can NOT wait to see Wolverine, solely because I can't wait to see Taylor Kitsch. He is one beautiful man. In regards to President Obama's speech about education. I am the first one to say that education badly needs an overhaul, It is so messed up in so many ways, however a few things: 1. Can someone please make more parent's give a shit about their kids, instead of being more upset over their kid's Sidekick being taken away! 2. Too many kids could give two shits about school after the standardized tests are over. The importance of them have taken over actual teaching. Yes, teaching to the test occurs a majority of the time, because of the pressure to get great scores...or else. 3. I'm sorry, but being in a school with no air conditioning in July is just not happening. Fans do not work. Last year when it became really hot in June, it reached temperatures of 100 degrees in the classrooms. You really think learning was going on? 4. Merit pay is dangerous because of the politics that take place within the school system. 5. Where do the special education students come into play? Paula Abdul is freaking annoying. According to the newspapers K-Rock a station in NYC, that plays rock, is going to start playing top 40 music. If true, it should be interesting to see if it could make a dent in Z100's audience. |
