You know everytime I think I am cynical and jaded, one of my students vents to me about his/her home life and yeah, my heart just drops to my stomach. The sense of powerlessness I feel is just overwhelming.

So, I would just like to say thank you to My Chemical Romance, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen for putting a smile on my face.

Kris Allen you are a sneaky little bastard aren't you? "What's that?" You know damn well what that is.

Daytime television is terrible!!

So, Kradison, otherwise known as Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and Allison Iraheta are putting on a free concert.  People can vote on it happening in their hometown.  I just voted.  I want them to come to NYC so I can watch them in action.  I have such a crush on Adam Lambert that it's ridiculous.  I know I have the wrong equipment for him, but I don't care.    He said something recently about the reason why so many older women like him is because it's safe.  Um...no!  It's because you are quite sexy.  His eyes, lips and freckles drive me nuts.  I think he's so pretty without all that makeup.

I just read that the American Music Awards has added Whitney Houston.  I am eagerly awaiting this show.  The lineup is insane.  It includes:
Eminem
Lady Gaga
Jay-Z
Alicia Keys
Jennifer Lopez
The Black Eyed Peas
Kelly Clarkson
Carrie Underwood
Daughtry
Adam Lambert
Rihanna

Oh Lady Gaga's video for Bad Romance is fantastic.  I love it.  I can't wait for her new album.

27 world championships!  Enough said :)

However, in my life, I would love to see the Knicks win one championship.

Speaking of the Knicks, if Lebron James is smart, he will not come anywhere near the Knicks.  To put it bluntly, they suck and are embarrassing.

The most depressing thing to come out of the Rihanna interview, is the amount of women who are hating on Rihanna and defending Chris Brown.

Kris Allen's song, Live Like We're Dying has grown on me.  He is absolutely adorable in his video. I love his crooked mouth.  The more I hear is music, the more I will probably purchase his album.

I want to see Precious.

Everytime I hold my friend's newborn baby, I keep waiting to feel my biological clock scream, I WANT ONE!    It's similar to my mindset of when I attend a wedding or a couple's anniversary, will I sit and watch these united people and want this for myself?   The answer is constantly NO!

I think about these things when people do ask me why don't I want these things.  Sometimes I think something's wrong with me, but no it's just how I am wired.  I guess when the wanting a family gene was being handing out, I was obviously dawdling someplace else, cause I sure didn't get it.  LOL

Ah, there is nothing like pondering about ones life, early in the morning.

Oooh, today's Google page!  My favorite Sesame Street character :)

Oh, Adam Lambert you must have known that I had shitty day.  I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and  basically never recovered.  I was in a foul mood all day long.

But, Adam you present me with this gem of an album cover and all of a sudden my crappy day became a hell of a lot brighter.

My reactions:
1. Ha ha ha ha ha ha
2. Look at his eye makeup
3. Look at how blue his hair is
4. Wtf is up with the shoulder?
5. Aha-ha-ha-ha
6. He's all sparkly
7. Aha-ha-ha-ha

The cover is flamboyant and glittery as hell.  It's Adam Lambert in a nutshell. He's so unapologetic.  I freaking love this about him.  I haven't bought a cd in eons, but I feel like purchasing this one just to see the look on the sales clerk's face.

Oh, speaking of Adam in a way, Kris Allen's music is pretty damn good.  It really is in the Rob Thomas, Jason Mraz and John Mayer vein.

I am so happy to see that people on my flist were able to purchase Paul McCartney tickets. I am happy and at the same time envious. I want to see him again.

Things I don't get:

Taylor Swift's popularity. Her stadium shows sold out in minutes. Why? She's boring, bland and has the stage presence of wet paint. Oh, I also forgot to mention that she can't sing and her songs are corny as hell.

Stalkers! Justin Timberlake had to take out a restraining order on a 50 year old woman who broke into his home and said that she was his friend. 50 YEARS OLD!!!! WHAT?!!!! It's rarely a teenager stalking, it's always some middle aged psycho.

The dating world, lets face it, it is an audition for a second date. But, wow some men in this world have issues. I think I really high standards for dating.

All I want is:
1. A guy who is educated
2. A guy who has a job
3. A man who can complete a sentence
4. A man with good teeth

I swear, i think I am asking for too much.

I am going to start the new Dan Brown book today, hopefully I am not disappointed.

ETA: I just found out that you can download Adam Lambert's song "A Time for Mircales" from I-Tunes.

Time:3:45 pm.
I have spent the whole entire afternoon listening to Adam Lambert.  This is due to the fact I just heard his song for the movie 2012, A Time for Miracles.

Now this song is normally the type of song that I absolutely despise.  The Aerosmith song, Don't Want to Miss a Thing, while loved by most people, this song made me want to upchuck into the nearest garbage can.  I thought the song was corny as hell.   Now Adam's song is in the same vein, however, the way Adam sings it sends chills down my spine.  His voice is just so damn beautiful and what he can do with it is sinfully delicious.  I can't wait for his album.  Plus, when he goes on tour, I will be there!

Take a listen:

Are people seriously supposed to wear these things? Besides from one of the Olsen twins, who would wear these?  I sometimes wonder what goes on inside Alexander McQueen's head?  Well, I sometimes wonder what goes on inside many designers head.

I recently upgraded my phone to a Blackberry Storm.  I don't like it.  I can't stand the functioning of the phone.  I am going to exchange it for a Blackberry Curve, which is what I should have chosen in the first place.

If anybody ever questioned why teachers get the summers off, this means you have never dealt with children between the ages of 12-16.    If people did, we wouldn't just get the summer's off, people would supply us with Prozac and  psychotherapists.  There are no adjectives to describe what it is like to work with this age group.

I really want to see Good Hair, which was produced by Chris Rock.

I'm gonna scream if I have to hear one more thing about David Letterman's dick.

Mood: tired.
Totally random shit because I'm too tired to think about *real* life.

I just found out Edward Furlong, the kid from Terminator, is still alive.   I don't know why but I thought he died of an od.

Jonathan Jackson, the original Lucky Spencer, is returning back to General Hospital.  This makes me wish that I was still watching soaps.  The scenes between him and Tony Geary, Luke Spencer, were always the ones to watch.

There was a rumor that Justin broke up with Jessica Biel.  It looks like they didn't break up.  I will  now go back to not caring about their relationship.  Yeah, I know, having a boring as hell relationship helps in keeping the paps away.  But, it still doesn't stop the fact that they are one boring as hell celebrity couple.  Wet paint is more interesting.

Speaking of celebrity couples, I love the way Brad and Angie dress their kids.  Why?  Because they look and act like kids. They wear hand me downs.  I don't care how much money you have, kids are the messiest beings on this planet.  At the end of the day, clothing is ripped, crooked, torn, has various juices, crayons, pens and marker stains in them.  I guess what I am trying to say is Suri Cruise's attire freaks me out.  She's like a little fashion plate.

I am surprised at how much I like N.C.I.S. Los Angeles.  LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell have great chemistry...who knew.  I still say LL needs a damn hat on his  big head.

Time:10:52 pm.
Mood: tired.
How tired am I?  I slept for 12 hours today.   I'm still pooped.   Stress is just not a fun thing.

Does Alicia Keys have a new song out?  I think I heard it the other day on the radio, but I am not sure.  If she does, it's awful.  It sounds as if she put little to no effort into the song.

I just finished watching Cadillac Records.  It was okay, but it was boring.  I don't know how on earth a movie that is about Chess records and legends such as Chuck Berry, Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters & Etta James could be boring as hell, but it was. It should have been a documentary.  I will say that Beyonce was surprisingly good as Etta James.

I saw U2 in concert on Thursday night.  They are so fantastic live.  What  I love about U2 is how they rearrange their songs and make them into something different by either rearranging the music, ie I'll Go Crazy if I don't go Crazy Tonight  or by adding little snippets of various songs onto their own.  They also performed Blackbird, Amazing Grace & Stand By Me, which was dedicated to Julian Lennon.  I guess he was in the audience.  Most disappointing part of the U2 show, no Pride!  They performed Unforgettable fire, but no Pride!

Memo to ABC if an athlete (Tim Tebow) is throwing up on the sidelines, it does not mean we (the viewing audience) needs to see this.

So, a student sent a note to one of the boys in her class.  In the note it stated, that she wanted him to go to the bathroom.  She would meet him there with a ruler and measure his dick.  The joys of working with middle schoolers.

Mood: calm.
I am semi-watching the Emmy Red Carpet and nothing too impressive tonight in regards to the fashions.  The one thing I have noticed is that the difference between movie and t.v. stars...glamour.  Some of the women tonight look as if they have never heard of a comb or stylist.

The football season has started off amazingly!   I am going to miss the season premier of Criminal Minds this week.  *sniffle*  I have a stupid meeting that I HAVE to go too.

I'm going to see U2 at Giants Stadium this Thursday.  Woo hoo!!

Friday was one of those days where I wondered why I work with kids.  I can't remember the last time I was so stressed out.  I rarely bring my job home with me.  I'm pretty good at leaving everything behind.  But, on Friday it came home with me and has stuck with me throughout the weekend.   I am actually looking forward to Monday, just to shake this feeling.

Awww...look at Justin on the red carpet with those curls.  Wow, he looks so young.  *pinches his cheeks*  Oh, he's working with Rihanna, again.    Bad thing: He's not working on his own album.    Good thing: He's getting the itch.
Bwahahah...Nene just cooed over him.

When you work with middle schoolers, eventually Twillight will come up as a topic of conversation.   Now I know shit about  Twillight, but according to my girls one of the 8th grade boys looks like a character in Twillight.  I don't know his name, but he has long hair and is the shapeshifter or is it the werewolf?  Anyway, all the girls are after Sammy who according to them looks like this character.  It's hysterical.    The giggling that happens when he walks down the hallway is comical.

I have a funny feeling that I can no longer eat fried foods.  I guess this is good for my health, but discovering these types of things can be and is quite painful.  I love Rolaids.

It's football season!!!!!  YES!  Sundays are back to being all about football :D

Speaking of sports, Michael Jordan was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame on Friday and what a speech!  He shocked me because he cried.  But, his speech was hysterical.  He just let it all hang out.  I will always adore him.

Serena, I understand being mad and losing your cool.  That call was blown but you really have no one to blame but yourself for that lost last night.  You were sloppy as hell.  She needs to get herself together, because McEnroe screwed up his career with his tantrums.  Tennis got to the point where it would take his shit anymore.

The USC & Ohio State University game last night was fantastic, but the Notre Dame and Michigan game was just as good to watch, if not even better.

90% of my students at work tower over me. They are all so much taller and my boys' voices are changing.  My girls have all of sudden taken interest in fashion.  It makes me feel so old.    Really, really old.  lol  They are growing up on me.

The one thing about the Beatles CD's in stereo, the small details that I am noticing now.  The vocals are better, but wow Ringo's drumming.  It's so clear and crisp.

Justin won another Emmy.  I love how he handles his career.  He just has his shit so together.  But, I do really want a new freaking album already.

The season ending to True Blood is on tonight!  I've been looking forward to this, so hopefully I am not disappointed.

Subject:Pros & Cons
Time:6:19 pm.
Mood: happy.
Music:Life Goes On-The Beatles.
Cons:
It's costing me $200 to apply to graduate.  200 bucks!!!   Amazing to APPLY!!!
Only the second day back and my supervisor annoyed with me by not having an answer to a simple question.  What the hell else is new?
Why is it when you want peace and quiet and are not saying a word, others around you are completely clueless?  They talk your ear off and don't stop?

Pros:
My students have grown so tall.  My babies are no longer babies.  Oh, we watched Obama speech in my school today.    I guess we decided to breed little socalist going out into society.  I wish the president could have mentioned to the students, to stop putting half naked pics of themselves on their damn MySpace pages.   Some of my kids are ridiculous and their parents don't do a damn thing about it.
Talked about the Beatles all day long with my co-workers
During my prep, played the Beatles

Most importantly THIS IS MINE!!!   Even though I won't officially get it until the weekend or Monday at the latest.

I'm watching A Hard's Day Night on Vh-1 Classics and I have found out two things:

1. Vh-1 is bringing back Diva's Live.  The singers appearing are Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, Jordin Sparks and I think I saw Miley Cyrus.  Miley Cirus...no comment

2. Vh-1 is bringing back Behind the Music.  YES!!!  Here are the people who will have episodes: Pink, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Bobby Brown and Bret Michaels.

Clothes shopping right now is not easy.  The biggest reason why is because no one is really making anything worth buying.  I'm not spending money on something I sorta like.  I don't think I'm alone in that.

True Blood after September 13th, won't be back for 9 months.  WTF?!

David Wright's new helmet, wow.  LOL  It does look like the helmet from Spaceballs.  But, good for him wearing it.

Aww...Whitney, your voice.  It's funny but back in Whitney's heyday I liked her, but I wasn't really a huge fan.  Although, I do remember arguing over who was better, Mariah or Whitney (those were the days).   I am really rooting for a huge comeback for her.    But, oh her voice has been wrecked by her drug use.  It's similar to what happened to Marianne Faithfull's voice after her drug use.

Sean Lennon, WTF?!  For someone who bitches about always being compared to your dad,  I really don't get what you are doing in recreating a photo of your dad and mom.

I saw the first upset at the U.S. Open last night. It was a match between Kateryna Bondarenko and Ana Ivanovic.  Bondarenko won and she did it  because of pure guile and guts.  It was a fantastic match to watch.  For the first time ever I watched doubles tennis.  It really translates better in person than on t.v.   Maria Sharapova is boring as hell to watch in person.

I'm loving the weather in NYC right now, please let it stay like this.  PLEASE!!!!

Oh and Levi Johnson you just keep pimping yourself out because it is highly entertaining.
